As part of Eindhoven’s “It’s Fashion Weekend”, the Designhuis curated and produced a fashion show at the Designhuis to kick off the city’s event. The exhibition displayed a selection of collections, the designers’ portfolios and the presentation of their design processes.

 Seven of these projects were nominated for international design awards: Apolda European Design Award, Designblok Prague Diploma Selection Award 2016, Frans Molenaars Award 2016 Amsterdam, Lichting 2016 Amsterdam, Mittelmoda Fashion Award Milan. The long list of nominations the students received before the event reflected the quality of the work. The exhibition opened with a speech by Dutch Design Week director Martijn Paulen, where he praised the young designers for the way they include craftsmanship, attention to detail and passion.
