The Designhuis, today just a building, was between 2007 and 2017 a cultural centre in Eindhoven that activated people and ideas, empowering a more participative society. It opened its doors for the public on October 2007, led by Lidewij Edelkoort (2007-2009), and later on Leonne Cuppen (2010) and Het Nieuwe Instituut (2011-2014). Between 2014 and 2016, the Designhuis was reactivated with a community-driven programming team and strategy, led by Jorge Alves Lino and Remco van de Craats. It stopped its programming activities in 2017.
